Paste the pre-filled script from Connect platforms into Google Ads under Tools, Bulk actions, Scripts, authorize and preview it, then schedule it hourly; it sends this month's spend to your workspace every hour and updates itself.
Install the script
- Copy your scriptIn Pacing Console, open Connect platforms. Under Step 1, Google Ads, press Copy script. The script already contains your workspace key. Only owners and editors see it.
- Open the right Google Ads accountSign in to Google Ads. If you manage several accounts, open your manager account (MCC) so one script covers them all.
- Add a new scriptGo to Tools, then Bulk actions, then Scripts, and press the + button. Delete the sample code, paste the script and name it Pacing Console.
- Authorize and previewPress Authorize, then Preview. The log should show each account with "campaigns sent, response 200".
- Schedule it hourlySave, then set Frequency to Hourly. The card on Connect platforms changes from Waiting for first data to Connected after the first run.
- Give each campaign a budgetOn the Pacing page, campaigns appear under Spending, no budget yet. Press Add budget on each one, enter its Monthly budget and press Save.
Options at the top of the script
The OPTIONS block at the top of the script has three settings you can change in Google Ads:
ACCOUNT_IDS: manager accounts only. List client account IDs, for example['123-456-7890'], to limit which accounts the script covers. Leave it empty for all.APPLY_BUDGET_CHANGES:trueapplies daily budget changes you queue in Pacing Console (Pro). Set it tofalseto never change budgets.LINK_AUDIT:truealso sends the final URLs and tracking settings of live ads for the Link Console audit (read only). Set it tofalseto skip it.
Good to know
- The script updates itself: each run loads the latest version from PlanConversion, so you paste it once. Using an older Pacing Console script? Replace it with this one once.
- It sends campaign names and IDs, spend, conversions, conversion value and daily budgets for this month, plus today's spend and day-by-day history. Nobody at PlanConversion gets access to your account.
- It changes a daily budget only when someone queues the change in Pacing Console, and never during Preview. See Pace, forecasts and budget changes.
- Campaigns are matched by name, or by Platform campaign ID in the campaign window if you rename them later.
- Your workspace key is inside the script. Treat it like a password. Under Your workspace key you can Show, Copy or Replace key; after a replacement, paste the new script into each platform.
