Audit the links running in your ad accounts

On Pro, the same hourly Google Ads and Microsoft Ads script that powers Pacing Console reads each live ad's final URL, tracking template and URL suffix, and Checks, Ad accounts lists every URL that breaks your naming rules.

Turn on the audit

  1. Open the audit
In Link Console, open Checks, then Ad accounts, and open Install or update the script.
  2. Copy the script
Press Copy Google Ads script or Copy Microsoft Ads script. Already running the latest Pacing Console script? It is the same script, so there is nothing to install.
  3. Install it hourly
Google Ads: Tools, Bulk actions, Scripts, +, paste, authorize, preview, then schedule it hourly. Microsoft Ads: Tools, Scripts, Create script, then schedule it hourly. Full steps: Google Ads, Microsoft Ads.
  4. Wait for the first run
Results appear within an hour of the script's first run.
  5. Review the problems
See URLs checked, With problems, Clean and Last check, then a table of Platform, Campaign / ad, URL and Problems.
  6. Fix them in the platform
Change the tracking template, final URL suffix or final URL in Google Ads or Microsoft Ads. The next hourly run checks it again.

What the audit flags

For each ad, the audit uses the tracking template when it carries UTMs, otherwise the final URL with its URL suffix, taking the setting from the ad, ad group, campaign or account level that applies.
